«Flagget er hvitt med rød rand på tre sider og med byvåpenet midt i duken. Den røde fargen skal være den samme som i det norske flagget. Proporsjoner: Hvit duk, høyde 9 deler, bredde tolv deler. «Byflagget er en hvit duk belagt med byvåpenet på elliptisk skjold, og med rød rand øverst, nederst og ytterst. Flaggets høyde er fastsatt til 9 deler, bredden til 12 deler, den røde randen til 1 del, avstanden mellom våpenskjoldet og øvre og nedre rand begge 2 deler. Skjoldet er 4,5 deler bredt og 5 deler høyt, det har gullramme, og den tre tårnete borgen er i sølv og fjellene i gull på rød bunn. Flagget er tegnet av arkitekt Finn Berner.» (Bergen byleksikon)
English: The official flag of the city of Bergen.

"The flag is white with a red border on three sides and the city arms centred on the cloth. The red colour shall be the same as in the Norwegian flag. Proportions: White cloth, height 9 parts, width 12 parts. Red border on three sides 1 part. Distance between shield and upper and lower edge is 2 parts." (Profile manual of the city of Bergen)

"The city flag is a white cloth charged with the city arms on an elliptical shield, and with a red border on the top, bottom, and fly edges. The flag's height is set to 9 parts, the width to 12 parts, the red border to 1 part, the distance between the shield of arms and both the top and bottom edge 2 parts. The shield is 4.5 parts wide and 5 parts tall, it has a gold bordure, and the three‐towered castle is silver and the mountains are gold on a red field. The flag is designed by architect Finn Berner." However, judging by the original uploads by Eirik1231, who managed to get the file into the 71 KB range, it probably could be further improved. Anyone who wants to is welcome to give it a shot.

With that said, I seem to be increasing the file size. If anyone can and wants to reupload the file with a smaller size, but with no loss of information, please do.

While the dimensions already were correct according to the sources, the colours still irked me. Starting with the red colour, it is stated to be the same red as in the Norwegian flag. That shade of red is officially given as Pantone 186 C by the Nordic Council as well as the Nordic Flag Society. As for the gold, it is a tincture that in many situations, not the least when used on flags, is rendered as yellow. Here, I used Pantone 102 C as recommended by the National Archival...
